Contrary to what many people will tell you, email marketing is far from being dead. Email marketing has been used by Internet marketers for years to make money, and they?ve been successful! The main reason that several people are not successful with their email marketing camapaign is because there are not taking the necessary steps to do it in the proper way. Hopefully the information and tips in this article will help you create a good email marketing plan and raise your rate of conversion. If you are new to IM, then approach List Profit Sniper along with its many components carefully so you will be able to realize maximum leveraging opportunities. One thing worthy of note is the difference in the attitudes business owners bring to the table. We have to speak in general terms, and with that we do believe that low-performing businesses will usually be run by those who do not have optimal attitudes that translate into behavior. We tend to believe that only a certain percentage of people will realize how important attitude and belief are and will actively address it. If you have failed one hundred times over the years, well ? things are not over yet; you know a little more and can learn the rest. Options; we all have them whether you choose to believe that or not.
Of first importance, be sure to use a subject line that is attention getting and captivating. Remember, you don?t have a long time to catch the reader?s attention, only a few seconds and that?s all. If you fail to get their attention, your email will either get ignored or deleted. This is why your subject line needs to specify a particular benefit that entices the recipient and forces him/her to open your mail. For instance, a person may dismiss a message with a subject line reading ?Weight Loss Tips?, but open one with the subject ?10 Weight Loss Tips That Can Help Your Shed Your Pounds.? It?s important to immediately begin the email with some really interesting content. Why is this important? Many widely used email clients such as Yahoo! Mail, Microsoft Outlook, etc. have a ?preview pane? that allows a reader to view just a narrow strip of an email message without actually opening it. In addition, you need your efforts to remain consistent throughout your email marketing campaigns. You have to ensure your email is sent regularly on the time specified to your subscribers. For instance, if you agree to send a newsletter on Wednesdays at 1 pm, do exactly that. Your supporters will be waiting and expecting your email then and you do not want to keep them waiting. Doing so will show them that you are serious and will be more likely to open any promotional emails you send to them. Consistency is an important trait, which demonstrates your professionalism, when it comes to your dealings with your email subscribers.
Next, you should be sure that the emails you send are actually going to the intended receiver, and are not just being put in their spam folder. Observe your subject line and see if it will work in the proper way. Spam filters don?t like certain words and if you have them in your subject line, consider your email trashed. Do not use words such as, Earn Money, FREE, etc. Finding information on additional words to watch out for is just a Google search away. You?ll find sites that will have whole lists for your review. They?ll even show you how you?re doing by providing a ?spam score.? Apart from the subject line, the actual content of the email also shouldn?t contain these spam trigger words. When it comes to your email content, there are other concerns too. You need to be careful of the links you include. A domain that is extensively promoted may end up in the spam folder also. And when the spam filters detect these sites, your mail will once again end up in the junk folder. But there is a workaround to this, and that is to cloak your links with another domain so that you can fly under the radar. All in all, email marketing is made of many important elements, and you have to focus on each one of them. Remember that writing a good email is just the first step. Creating your mailing list and developing a spam-proof message are also very important things to consider. By focusing on these elements, you will most definitely get the most out of your email marketing campaigns.

Startup Limited Run says bots are driving clicks on its Facebook ads.?
A startup is making some dramatic claims about Facebook, saying that bots, not real people, are the driving force behind clicks on its Facebook ads.
In addition, the startup says Facebook wouldn?t change the startup?s name on its Facebook page without committing to buying $2,000 per month in ads, a move the startup described as a shake down.
?That was kind of the last straw,? said Tom Mango, co-founder of the startup Limited Run, when I caught up with him by phone. ?We have to get out of Facebook.?
Limited Run, which is based in New York and makes a platform for musicians and artists to sell physical and digital goods, posted its story about its experience Monday in a Facebook post explaining why the company is shutting down its account.
Mango said that the company noticed the numbers of ad clicks it was paying for didn?t align with the number of visits to its website, according to the analytics service it was using. So Mango spent a month testing six or seven other analytics services, all with the same result: Only about 20 percent of the clicks the company was paying for were making it through to its website.
Limited Run then set up its own tracking system, and says it found that those other clicks were all coming from bots, driving up the startup?s advertising costs.
?We have no idea where the bots are from,? Mango said. ?Our biggest thing is we don?t have time to deal with this kind of crap. We wanted to be able to advertise on Facebook, but we?re small. We can?t afford to put money out there and not actually get our return on it.?
When the company asked Facebook about the discrepancy, it got ?standard canned replies about every analytics service is different,? Mango said.

For millions of people around the world being sick doesn't mean making a trip to the local pharmacy for medicines like Advil and Nyquil. Instead it means turning to the forest to provide a pharmacopeia of medicines to treat everything from tooth aches to chest pains.
But while questions persist about whether such natural remedies are as effective as their pharmacological cousins, one Harvard researcher is examining the phenomenon from a unique perspective, and trying to understand the economic benefits people receive by relying on such traditional cures.
As reported in a paper published this week in PLoS ONE, Christopher Golden, '05, a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Harvard University Center for the Environment has found that, in the area of northwest Madagascar he studies, people annually receive between $5 and $8 in benefits by using natural medicines.
Though seemingly slight, those benefits add up to between $30 and $45 per household, Golden said, or anywhere from 43 to 63 percent of the median annual income for families in the region.
"We documented people using more than 240 different plant species to treat as many as 82 different illnesses," Golden said. "This data suggests that it can have quite an impact, financially."
It's an impact that may not be limited to Madagascar, or other regions where access to pharmaceuticals is limited.
As part of his analysis, Golden also compared the use of natural remedies with the prices that American consumers might pay if they were purchasing the pharmaceutical equivalent online where prices are typically lower than on pharmacy shelves. To his surprise, the results showed that the average American could save anywhere from 22 to 63 percent of their annual health care bill, simply by using natural medicines.
"If Americans were relying on traditional medicines as much as people in Madagascar, it could save them a major percentage of their health care expenditures," Golden said.
Golden, however, was quick to emphasize that his study only examined the economics of the natural remedies versus pharmaceuticals, not whether they were equally effective.
"What we're trying to do is account for the economic value the local floral bio-diversity provides to people in this area of Madagascar," Golden said. "We're not assuming there is a medical equivalency this study is about the perceived efficacy. The people who live in this region often have taken both pharmaceuticals and traditional medicines many times, but there is a perceived efficacy for these traditional medicines."
Measuring that perceived efficacy involved surveying 1,200 households in and around Maroantsetra, a city in the northeast corner of the island nation, to determine which natural medicines they used.
To establish the economic benefit of each natural remedy, Golden asked whether people would prefer to use the natural or pharmaceutical remedy for a given illness. If, for example, 60 percent of those asked said they preferred the traditional medicine, Golden established its value as being 60 percent of the price of its pharmaceutical cousin.
"Certainly, because there's no proof of medical equivalency between these treatments, it could easily be an over-estimation to establish these values," Golden said. "But the bio-diversity in these regions represents a huge pharmacopeia, and there are many hidden benefits to the use of these sorts of traditional medicines. These medicines aren't being improperly prescribed or mismanaged, and because they've been used for millennia, we know they're not producing any type of negative side effects."
The economic benefits offered by natural medicines, however, may not end at those who rely on them to treat day-to-day ailments.
The corner of Madagascar that Golden studied contains nearly one percent of all the global floral biodiversity, meaning the chance that a novel pharmaceutical might be developed based on the traditional medicines used in the area is relatively high. The value of that drug, Golden said, could range from $300 million to as much as $5.7 billion.
"That raises additional issues, about who benefits from the discovery of these drugs," Golden said. "In the case of the Madagascar Periwinkle, which was used to develop the treatment for childhood leukemia, a foreign drug company came, took the plants to a foreign lab and they are now making billions, but not five cents has made its way back to Madagascar."
While the question of their medical efficacy is still to be answered, Golden knows first-hand why people continue to rely on traditional medicines in at least some cases, they work.
"I have been living here long enough that I've used some of these remedies myself," Golden said. "In one case, some scratches on my leg got infected, and it blew up like a watermelon from my knee to my ankle. My host family went into the forest and came back with what looked like nettles and put them on my leg. It was incredibly itchy, but the swelling went away completely and the pain disappeared. So these treatments really can work."

I quite stumbled across this album, and, with zero expectations, listened to it in a couple of sittings. Nothing particularily grabbed my attention. I rewaxened (my word, the art of relistening with the wax removed from your ears. Can be used with permission) a few days later and relalized this is a great piece of music. These two guys put together a full bands worth of sound. They also generate a delicate complexity that on the surface seems to be an ordinary piece of prog, but has distinct and thoughful progressions. I suspect this is why I initially let it pass over my ears and not through. Further, even though the music doesn't challenge your brain the way some progheads feel is required to be great prog, it does get your feet tapping and your emotions moving. Notable tunes are "Shadow On The Wall" and "Twighlight". Go get this disc, but make sure you rewaxen before listening.4.2 stars

"Polisse" synopsis is so dull and poor that I am glad I had not read it before watching the movie. The "journalist covering police assigned to a juvenile division that enters an affair with one of her subjects" is only part of a wider and more complex quilt of characters and interesting stories.Ma?wenn brings up the dirty and dark side of Paris with the help of an excellent team of child actors - Malonn L?vana, the lovely little girl of "Tomboy" (where she plays the sister of the leading character) is someone to keep an eye on - and the best known actors of the French cinema of today: Marina Fo?s, Sandrine Kiberlain, Nicolas Duvauchelle, Fr?d?ric Pierrot, Karin Viard, Louis-Do de Lencquesaing, Alice de Lencquesaing (L'heure d'?t?, Le p?re de mes enfants), J?r?mie Elka?m (La guerre est d?clar?e), Karole Rocher, and others. This team of stars, however, can be a double-edged sword: at the same time it calls the attention and arouses curiosity, it can also hinder the identification with the characters and/or concentration. It was just me, perhaps, but every time a known face appeared on the screen, my mind would unplug and try to remember in which movie I had seen that actor. Despite the great cast and some memorable moments, "Polisse" is average. It looks like a police tv drama show, both in format and melodrama, but a very good one it?s true. If made for tv, all the crucial subjects raised by Ma?wenn - such as pedophilia, social welfare, immigration, violence - could be better placed and developed, taking in mind the way she chose to portray them. Choices, by the way, seem to be carefully taken. Melissa ?s "ugly panties" being childlike and having the saying "spank me" that she didn?t know what means may work as an alert on how we collaborate with these sexual "fair tale" fantasies. The saying in English (spank me) may also be a criticism on our contemporary times where we usually follow global and standardized models/ideas, sometimes without really knowing or thinking about what they mean, what can be also seen, let?s say, in the episode of the "telephone teenager girl". "But it was a smartphone". Although I don't think "Polisse" is that good, Ma?wenn definitely got my attention. I liked a lot her character Melissa and how it develops and grow as the story unfolds; I was delighted with the funny discussion over the changes in the French language (on how we are killing our language); and the final scene really impressed me - the ending can be melodramatic as said Peter Bradshaw, but definitely not unconvincing. That said, I will sure check Ma?wenn's previous movies and will be waiting for more.

Security researchers have successfully fooled commercial iris-recognition scans with a computer-generated replica of a human eye, raising questions as to the effectiveness of such biometric systems. Generating the fake iris only takes a few minutes, and does not require the original eye to be present.
Iris scans have for years been considered a secure and fairly straightforward biometric security measure; existing scanners can collect quite a bit of information, building a model of the user's iris and comparing it against future scans. But the process is not without its weaknesses.
Several years of research at West Virginia University and the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid have focused on how such a system might be defeated. The i-PRoBe lab at WVU has been looking into biometrics methods for over a decade, producing not just ideas for new systems but ways to circumvent existing ones. They were producing synthetic irises as early as 2005, though the mathematically generated images were more a proof of concept.
Javier Galbally, at UAM's Biometric Recognition Group, has pursued the practical applications of artificial irises, in particular the application to biometric security. In the research he and the others are presenting this week at the Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas, they explain how they were able to create not just a convincing iris, but one that would return more or less the same result as a given real-life iris. Wired's Threat Level blog first reported on?the presentation.
The researchers began by looking at the data such a security system generates when it looks at an iris ? various measures such as patterns, striations, the size of certain features, all produce a unique "password" that, until this week's presentation, was only able to be replicated?by the eye that produced it.
Once they had that output information, they created an iris image and scanned it through the system, then modified it and looked at whether it produced results that were more or less like the target iris's ? which, again, they have no actual image of, just this metadata. They kept changes that seemed to make their iris more like the target, and threw away changes with a negative effect. After 100 or 200 iterations and less than 10 minutes, the algorithm produces a simulated iris that will reliably scan in as the one that's still safe inside some user's eyeball.
Right now the research assumes that whoever is trying to beat the iris scanner has access to the codes that scanner would generate from a real iris. (In this case, the team used codes made public for research purposes.) In reality, those would hopefully?be carefully protected and encrypted, meaning it would be another security task entirely to get hold of them. But unlike a password, you can't just scrap your eyeball and get a new one.?If a single large user?database was breached, this technique could render thousands, or even millions, of irises insecure in an?instant.
In-place systems, such as those in some airports and other secure facilities, likely have additional security measures, like guards who might notice someone holding up a printout of an eye to an iris scanner. But the mere possibility of falsifying an iris successfully is enough to put the users of such biometric security systems on edge.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks took off at the end of the week, drawn by the allure of a helping hand from the world's two most powerful central banks. Traders are unlikely to resist those charms again next week.
The U.S. Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank both meet next week amid investor expectations of action to stimulate economic growth and, in the case of the ECB, tackle the spreading euro zone debt crisis.
The drumbeat of weak economic data and disappointing U.S. corporate profits and outlooks mean central banks can be stocks' best friends.
Equity prices tend to rise sharply in the hours before a Fed statement like the one expected on Wednesday as traders and investors jockey for position and a chance to make a profit.
Next week's calendar has a double-whammy. The Fed's monetary policy statement will come one day before an ECB meeting packed with intrigue. ECB President Mario Draghi said earlier this week the bank was ready to do whatever was necessary, within its mandate, to save the euro.
"People in this business like to get in front of big events, especially if (they) could be very, very positive for the market," said Brian Reynolds, chief market strategist at agency brokerage Rosenblatt Securities.
In that sense the strategy "is almost like a lottery ticket," he said.
But was that ticket already cashed? The S&P 500 <.spx><.inx> rallied to levels not seen since May on Friday, a rally that was sparked a day earlier after Draghi stoked expectations the ECB might resume its Securities Markets Programme (SMP) and possibly adopt more aggressive quantitative easing.
Reports of meetings with the head of Germany's Bundesbank fueled a Friday rally that outpaced Thursday's gains.
Equity markets have for weeks been leaning on hoped-for stimulus from the Fed or ECB. Despite weeks of softening economic data, including a dismal payrolls report for June and a poor outlook for corporate profits, the S&P 500 has risen in seven of the past 10 weeks. It closed on Friday near a three-month high.
REMARKABLE PATTERN
At the same time that traders position themselves to benefit from the Fed's latest easy-money policy, those betting against market gains get out of the way and selling pressure recedes.
"It's very scary to short the market ahead of a Fed meeting," said Dennis Dick, a proprietary trader at Las Vegas-based Bright Trading and co-founder of Premarketinfo.com. "So you have this short-covering that drives prices up."
That helps explain the rise in stocks in the 24 hours prior to the U.S. central bank's policy decisions - a pattern that tends to hold irrespective of what the Fed actually says in its statement.
Economists at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York performed a study of the pattern.
Starting mid-afternoon the day before such decisions, stocks in the United States, Britain, Germany and other major markets begin a sharp rise and don't stop, on average, until just before the Fed unveils its policy decision at 2:15 p.m. (1815 GMT) the following day.
Since 1994 a whopping 80 percent of the premium in gains of U.S. stocks over yields on short-term government bonds has been earned in these 24-hour periods, the study found.
The pattern has grown starker as the Fed took increasingly aggressive actions to rescue the U.S. economy from recession. The two rounds of major asset purchases, known as quantitative easing, or QE1 and QE2, in recent years strongly boosted stocks.
"Perhaps this shows markets have given the Fed their seal of approval," said Brian Jacobsen, chief portfolio strategist at Wells Fargo Funds Management in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
"At least from a market participant perspective, they are confident the Fed will fulfill its mandate. I try to talk to individual investors to remind them that the stock market is going to react much more quickly than the economy to what the Fed does," he said.
CENTRAL BANKS OVERSHADOW EARNINGS
The focus on central bank meetings will get in the way of a heavy week of earnings for S&P 500 companies at a time when the outlook continues to worsen.
Major companies due to report include AIG , Kellogg
Among the 290 companies in the S&P 500 index that have reported earnings for the second quarter, about 67 percent have beaten analysts' estimates, slightly higher than the long-term average of about 62 percent.
But just 40 percent have beaten on revenues, the worst record since the first quarter of 2009.
More worrisome is the market's outlook. Third-quarter earnings are now expected to decline 0.4 percent from a year ago, compared with an expected rise of 1.4 percent last week, according to Thomson Reuters data.
Also on investors' radar next week is another legal battle in California over patents between Apple and South Korea's Samsung . The trial's outcome could reshape the smartphone and tablet wars between the iPhone's maker and its rivals.

Do I believe that a cheaper pet door would withstand the rigors of what Klink puts it through? Absolutely not. That is the reason that we decided to invest in a more rugged pet door. The door that we researched and came to an agreement on was the Endura Flap Pet Door. The cost was higher but we also decided that if we were going to the time and effort to install a door, we would hope that this door would last the lifetime of Klink without having to purchase or repair the door of our choice.

I think we are missing just one important thing. We have all met a great group of friends and a lot of us were probably too busy having a brilliant time playing to make permanent contact with our friends outside of this site and this game. Here's where it comes in. Myself and many others here never got xfire or other gaming communities to work right or find the person you were looking for. But that's because it isn't the most pervasive community and forum for PC gamers everywhere.
Your open invitation gentlemen, to the Tactical Gamer's Project Reality Vets Steam group.

To begin with, many of you did plenty. If you?re reading this post, then it?s likely that you?re active in social media. Public attention to recent nonprofit board scandals, as well as robust participation via Twitter, Facebook, and other social media has been influential in the cases of Penn State, University of Virginia, and the Komen Foundation. There were financial and reputational consequences for organizations led by people who made bad decisions.
Beyond these three cases, you are having an exponential impact because two messages are loud and clear: 1) Boards of nonprofit organizations can no longer be secretive about the ways in which they are handling their responsibilities; there will be transparency, and 2) Boards are being held responsible to act with integrity, for the purpose of the mission, in the best interests of the people whom they serve; boards will be held accountable.
For many of us who have served on and worked with boards for over two decades, we eagerly welcome these newly heightened levels of transparency and accountability. For too long, ?old school? funders and board members have shuttered themselves behind closed doors and been complacent about board apathy and dysfunctional practices.
Here?s what you?ve done to alert nonprofit boards that it?s no longer business as usual:
Here?s why it matters that you?ve engaged in this public discussion about boards:
Here?s what you can do to further advance the momentum for better boards:
NGOs and nonprofits address issues of poverty, education, renewable natural resources, healthcare, housing, social justice, human rights, jobs, economic development, and arts and culture, among other things. Boards have the ultimate authority to ensure that these organizations use their resources as intended by donors, governments, and other funders to achieve their missions for a better world.
With your attention to governance and nonprofits, you are helping to ensure that boards fulfill their responsibilities in helping to build a better world.

The fund, which will be focused on consumer Internet, software-as-a-service, e-commerce, and mobile companies. Wertz was the Chief Operating Officer of AbeBooks.com, which was acquired by Amazon.com back in 2008. He had been cofounder of German company JustBooks, which was later acquired by AbeBooks in 2002. It is hard to deny that in many areas of the Country (especially the Silicon Valley market, where we reside), the Real Estate market has rebounded nicely and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Because of this, many Realtors? have decided to start a new postcard farming area, or fire up an old one that hasn?t had any action in a while. Many agents, contemplating such a move, call or email our office for best practice advice, tips on where and how to market, or even help carrying out a direct mail campaign.
Here are a few of the most common questions and/or pitfalls we encounter and how we advise our clients. Hopefully this helps you out as well:
1) How do I pick a farm area?
Selecting a farm area is one of the most important things you can do, when planning your campaign. Think about it: You are going to be marketing to this area, on a regular basis, for months (actually years) to come. You are going to be spending hundreds, and most likely thousands of dollars on this endeavor, throughout the course of your career. With those two things in mind, why would you take this decision lightly?
Whenever I speak with a client or prospective client about picking a farming area, I always bring up two things:
1) Location Location Location: I am betting you are thinking I?m talking about picking an area that is ?desirable?, hot, or fashionable. Well, get ready for this?.I?m not. What I mean is pick an area that you are in love with.? Human beings are smart animals. We pick things up based on our interactions with people. If you are at a listing appointment with a prospective client, or holding a home open, if you aren?t in love with the area, don?t like the houses, or would rather be somewhere else, it?s going to be evident. It might be slight little things, but people will see this and figure it out. Simply put, if you love what you do, it will shine, making those around you enthusiastic about what you are doing and therefore making you more successful.
Just because ?everyone else? is focused on a certain price point of home, or certain geographic area of your marketplace, does not necessarily mean you have to also be focused on that area. Work where you love, and many things will work themselves out.
2) Do your homework, but don?t be afraid of competition: Another thing I ALWAYS suggest that Realtors? do before picking a farm area is running comps on the area. Run them for the last year or two. There are two reasons I have them do this:
-Make sure there is activity in the area: There are certain areas we find that have hardly any turnover. If you know anything about me, or my staff, you?ll quickly understand that this is something we find interesting, and our curiosity gets the better of us, until we go out in the area, with one of our clients, to find out why.
What did we find out? We found that in some areas (primarily areas that are predominantly inhabited by older citizens), they general consensus is, ?The day I sell my home is the day they wheel me out of here, toes up!?
I?m not suggesting that you NEVER work in an area like this (especially if it is an area that you are in love with). But, I am suggesting that it may be a farm area you add AFTER you have started another area, had some success and have more discretionary cash to put into your marketing budget.
-Look at who is doing the deals- You need to know who your competition is going to be. Unlike what many agents think, the best strategy on picking a farm area is looking for one that falls in the extremes. Namely, look for areas that either have nobody in particular selling all the homes (e.g. there are 10-15 agents that sell the listings, none of them with market share), or for areas that have a Realtor? that has the market locked up (e.g. out of 15 deals in a farm area, that agent gets the majority, and the ones they didn?t get are single, one off deals from other agents).
Why look for these types of markets? Well, for the areas that have no one single area, since you?re going to be dedicated to this farm and market to it regularly, you have a GREAT opportunity to become visible, quickly and regularly, to get the attention of homeowners in the area.
But what about the areas that have a single agent that have everything locked down? Those are FANTASTIC opportunities as well. Why is this? It?s simple. There are all kinds of people in the world, and everybody gets along with, and responds to people/personalities differently. If only one agent has an area locked down, I bet my paycheck there are homeowners in that farm area that frankly don?t like that agent, but who else are they going to choose, since nobody has stepped up to the plate? The answer is simple. You are going to start religiously marketing to that area, they are going to be very familiar with who you are and what you and do for them, and they are going to choose you over ?that other guy they don?t really like?.
2) How often should I mail to my farm?
While the quality of what you mail out to your farm is important, let me level with you. The MOST important thing of all, with any geographic marketing campaign is consistency. You have to bang away on your farm area, every 3-4 weeks, month after month, year after year, and you will dominate your marketplace. Literally every single agent we?ve ever come across that has been unsuccessful with geographic farming, has one single thing in common. They were not consistent.
Consistency in your geographic marketing IS EVERYTHING.
3) How many homes should be in my farm area?
Obviously, at the end of the day, marketing is a numbers game. You want to get in front of as many people as possible, thus improving your probability of getting a lead and therefore closing a deal. Keeping in mind tip #2 (Consistency) though, I find it very important to point out that while it is a numbers game, you only want to market to as many homes as you can afford to market to, every month, without fail, in a way that won?t make it a financial burden on you.
Postcard marketing to a geographic farm is a long term process. It is going to take you at least six to eight months to start to make a dent in your new marketplace. Mailing to too many homes will make your monthly costs high, and make you super frustrated in the beginning months, when not a lot of activity is coming in to you. The worst case in this is that you get frustrated, quit farming to that area, and then you?ve just wasted a bunch of your hard earned money.
VERY IMPORTANT: Do not bite off more than you can chew.
Every week, I sit in a conference room in a Real Estate office and suggest an agent choose 500 homes, instead of 1,000, or even 250 homes, instead of 500 (depending on their available long term budget). When I do this, the agent always looks at me as if I have two heads, or fire coming out of my ears or something.
I understand this. As a business owner and salesperson, they believe my job is to sell them as many postcards as I can possibly get them to buy, so I make the most money possible. This isn?t how it works though, and is not in our company culture or philosophy. You see, we aren?t in this game for the short term gains. We want to get you up and running in a farm area, have you get some sales and some commissions coming in, and then methodically and systematically grow your farm area.
Simply put, we know that the more we can help you succeed, the more you are going to want to reinvest in what we are doing for you, and therefore the more we will succeed. No matter who you work with, related to your marketing efforts, if they ever try to get you to buy more cards than you can comfortably afford, or try to get you to believe that geographic farming is an exercise in anything other than relentless consistency, FIRE THEM. They are not looking out for your best interests and you should not spend your hard earned money on them.
So there you have it. Those are just three of the most common questions we deal with, when setting a client up on a new geographic marketing campaign. As with all things, this is just the tip of the iceberg, considering the 15 years experience we have planing these campaigns for our clients.
Do you have some questions about a possible marketing campaign? Do you want to find out about other pitfalls you should be careful to avoid? Do you need help planning and executing a geographic marketing campaign? Contact us anytime and we would be more than happy to help you in any way we can.
